I am Shahin Ashkiani, a data science lecturer and practitioner. This is my website/weblog to document my readings, learnings, and experiments! This is the public journal of my data expeditions.
The blog is mainly about data analytics and economics. My interests lie in heterodox economics, from Marxian to Modern Monetary Theory at the macro level, and worker cooperatives and economic democracy at the micro level. In addition, data visualization, econometrics, causal discovery, machine learning, system dynamics, and agent-based modelling fascinate me as tools to understand the world.
In-pursuit is a blog in pursuit of truth. To me, learning is a process, an expedition. I learn by reconstructing phenomena, and I teach by facilitating others in doing so.
